Default Looking for taxidermy recommendation / experiences.

An owl passed away on my Mother’s property during the last cold snap and I am looking at having it preserved. Looks like all raptors require a permit from Fish and Wildlife to start off. Has anybody used a Taxidermist in the Calgary area?

It is quite beautiful and I’ve always liked owls.

Not too sure. Apparently they can die from exposure just sitting on a fence over night @ -40°.

After you have your permit from F&W head over to the Alberta Outdoorsmen forum http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/ and those guys will be your best bet. My only advice is that they can get a little preachy so make sure you emphasis that you found it froze and dead after that cold snap and you've already got your F&W permit before you even asked the question.
