Wow, pretty crazy tax jump in BC. Wealth redistribution in full effect with their NDP government.

The tax on passengers vehicles with a purchase price between $125,000 and $149,000 is being increased to 15 per cent from 10 per cent.
Vehicles with a purchase price of $150,000 and above will be taxed at 20 per cent up from 10 per cent.

The property tax is pretty aggressive too, will be affecting AB millionaires that own vacation homes there but pay AB taxes. 2%, that's $20k for a million dollar home every year. A million doesn't buy much in Kelowna haha.
This tax will also fuck over Chinese people living large in Vancouver full time while their husbands pay the bills overseas.

Would be worth it to divorce on paper to separate income individually and not as a family to qualify.
