Default Restaurant Puspa - Indian Cuisine - must try for you North-central folks

Puspa is located at the corner of North Mount drive and 40th Ave NW. Address for Google is 1051-40th Avenue NW.

Nice small family-run neighborhood Indian place. I think it's northern Indian cuisine, but as a certified white guy, I don't really know. Well worth a visit. I'd say it compares well to Namskar in terms of food quality. Decor isn't as impressive, but the good service and slightly cheaper price makes up for it IMO. It's now my go-to Indian spot if I don't want to trek to the NE.

    - Food rating 4/5, Very well done and richly flavoured Indian food. Reasonably priced, but unlike "cheap" Indian places they don't seem to skimp and you won't find watery sauces here. I don't order the hot dishes, and the ones I do order aren't spicy.
    - Ambiance 3/5, tiny unassuming place, only about eight tables. Can be a bit cold in the winter. Never seen it busy.
    - Service 5/5, Family run, the service is quick, polite and unfussy. Exactly how I like it. Because it's never busy, you won't be waiting long.

    Some Pics:
Even at 7:45 pm on a friday night, the place was empty. one table of six had just left as I was coming in.

My Most recent take-out order was cauliflower bahji, butter chicken, lamb korma and vegetable rice.

10% discount for take-out orders over $50. My meal with 2 plain naan was $50.95 before discount.

    +1 for Puspa!

Amazing Indian food. My husband and I have been coming here for years. The owner is super nice and the food is consistently delicious. I love the sag chicken, butter chicken and chicken tikka.

I tried their curry beef thali lunch special today. It was very tasty and I’ll definitely come back again. It was only $10 bucks as well for this plate.

Nice. This place is walking distance from my house and I always scroll pass it on Skip The Dishes. It looks sketch from the outside whenever I drive by so we never thought of checking it out but will definitly give it a try now! Sounds like it'll be a nice change from our usual Namskar. Thank you for the post.

Yeah, it's outstanding, and I'm always concerned that it's so empty because I'd hate to have it go out of business. Tell all your friends and post it on instgram or bumble or backpages or wherever the cool kids post shit these days. Would love that place to be full every night.
