Geoforce GTX 1070 not allowing me to turn on the PC, suggestions?

Soo about 16 months I purchased a pretty high-end comp and my video card has stopped to work.

The card is not under warranty anymore as it only had 1 year warranty and I rejected 2year + warranty as it was on sale and was about $200 for the warranty.

When i plug in the computer into the onboard system it works however I NEED 3 monitors and 1 of them is 2660X1440 which is not working with the onboard card (Works but not with the other 2 hooked up as well)


I went to a friends house last night and tried a different video card in the system and it worked so def the videocard (or cables).

When I try to turn the comp on with the video card the fans don't start and just flashes quickly and stops.

Suggestions?


Also wondering what kind of cheaper video card I could pick up, I haven't even played games on the comp with the card, but i need 3 monitors hooked up

1920 X 1080
1920 X 1080
2660 X 1440

Seems the cheapest card will be a Geoforce 1050ti?

It says Resolution Up to 7,680 X 4,320 this is all 3 monitors hooked up right?

Anyone have suggestions for another cheaper video card as well?

Yah I know I should just go to memoryexpress and get an answer but hoping to get some beyond knowledge as well!

The 1070 FTW's (Not sure about ACX) were riddled with issues and cards just dying. Likely needs to be RMA'd

Im no computer guy, and dont but i jujist bought 10 knoxk of brand rx560 cards for mining. Great card for the money. Its about 0.6 speed of my 1070 but its $150

I remember the rx560s used to be a lot cheaper, I actually paid $589 for my card and it's currently $679 over a year later, all the video cards went up in price because of mining. :\


Will swing by memory express in a bit and maybe pick up the quadpro and have this old card shipped out just need something for two months before I head out.

I also hooked up 3 x 1920X1080 monitors (Had a spare) to the onboard card and it's working fine, this could also work but I will miss my 2660X1440 res monitor.

From your serial number, you should have a 3 year warranty from EVGA. I would contact them at least as they should help you out. From what I have heard their customer service is top notch.

Contact EVGA, they have been known to help people long outside warranty and go above & beyond, definitely worth a shot. Also the card hasn't even been out long enough to have an expired warranty (that card has 3yrs) so you should be good to go.

Last warranty issue I had with EVGA they literally 1-day shipped me something the day before Christmas. Phenomenal.

My 1070 is mining xmr at 600 the rx580 averaging about 560, the 1060s about 425 and the rx560 at about 380.

What's the problem? You have a better bang for dollar suggestion?

Update:

Thanks for the suggestions I ended up sending it to EVGA and they are currently sending me a new videocard.

Going to be travelling to Europe in 3 weeks (comes in a week) and will be willing to sell a new 1070 (I think it will be a 1070) for under cost

Please PM me if you are interested in it, I'll get in contact with them tomorrow and see what they say and which model I'll have if they fixed it or if I'm getting a new card.. etc etc..

Or should I just keep it and setup a PC and mine while I'm in Europe?

This might be the better option? But It will only be 1 video card.. I guess I could use two video cards (The one I purchased when this one broke as well)
