Bump. Went to have the sausage and biscuit breakfast slathered in country gravy at Perkins last weekend. Delicious.
There's still a Perkins here? Holy fuck. Not sure if they've changed since I worked at the Dalhousie one, but they were pretty cruddy compared to actual southern chicken fried steaks.
Last year when I was towing down to Wisconsin, I stopped at a Perkins on Thanksgiving. Had chicken fried steak. It was meh, but I was just happy for the warm meal after driving for a couple days 14 hour days.
I also had it at Denny's at like 1am back in October in Edmonton. Again, pretty meh.
I think Perkins is good for the value, which is probably why you see so many seniors in there. Nothing special, but pretty good if you're starving or have a hangover.
