Once you include the modem and activation fee, they are about $5/mth less than similar competitors. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
When you get crapola speed, or have other issues, the support will likely be almost non-existent.
Assuming these guys will be using Shaw's infrastructure, they will provide basic tier 1 support but anything beyond that will need to be referred to Shaw which means longer support tickets and resolutionsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Sig nuked by mod.
Can you give an example? The promo might be done, it was $30/month for 75mbps service unlimited usage and no throttling. Even if you doubled that with other fees to $60, it still is $20-$30 per month cheaper than Shaw/Telus.for similiar packages, and thats not including any additional fees the big two have. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Honestly, its been years since Ive had internet problems. I'm out in the friggin sticks and my LTE 250gb plan has been down once in 6 months and I consistently get 25-40mbps.
Its not 2007 anymore
I switch my folks to Cancom, same type of outfits. $50/mth will get you 75Mbps. No Activation fee rental included. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
So your guy without the $10 off promo is actually same as these guys. Except you have to pay some sort of Activation Fee.
Like other said, you better make sure Shaw is good in your area. Trouble ticket will take a lot longer to resolve thru these 3rd party sellers.
So if I'm paying $75-80 for shaw 30, am I getting ripped off?
Looks to me that this is a TPIA with their own internet infrastructure but using Shaw's last mile to your place. Tech support would be limited and if they had to dispatch a shaw tech to come out, you will be low priority (since shaw will service their customers first). Right now I am using Teksavvy (been using them for a few years) and it's been great for me.
Well, just like Apple products, you are paying for premium support! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Did anyone end up signing up for this? Promo is still on. All in costs, $42/m for unlimited 75Mbps and a $30 one time set up fee.
My Telus bill seems to be more expensive every few months. Currently paying 140/m for internet 50 and a few dozen channels. They won't budge on price so looking to drop them completely.
I can eat more hot wings than you.

Ended up getting shaw 150 for under 70 no contract, so I went with that.
