    Default replacing windows

One of our bonus room windows has this wierd effect - looks like a smoke ring is stuck between the panes. I think it means the gas or whatever in the middle has gone - the windows is approx 5 foot by 3 foot in size. anyone know approximate prices for windows?

Approximate price is $300, but that's just for the window: you'd have to install it yourself.

A couple of years ago, I had a 60" x 60" casement window replaced by Lux Windows in my second-floor bedroom and the total was $1200. That involved removing the decorative shutters on the outside, replacing the trim on the inside, etc. My window was similar to this $500 Jeld-Wen window from Lowe's, but larger:

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

My windows in this room (bonus room) have these white bars on them. I have no idea why they are like that. Are they security bars?

    Those bars are strictly decorative.
