I don't borrow money for cars anymore but IF I have to/choose to at some point I'll treat it like my mortgage - I take the longest term/monthly payment to keep my obligations lower in event of emergency but always make the shorter term payment amount to keep it on track. Only thing there is you have to have a modicum of self control so you don't fuck it up haha

It’s really the best plan all around these days... mortgage: you can’t extend your am back out without it being a refi which means shitty rates... and also with qualifying at benchmark a high monthly car payment can fuck you at renewal for your mortgage if you want to requalify to move to a new lender for a better rate

Ya, I get that. When I'm financing something, I always go with bi weekly payments. Try and pay the least amount of interest possible. They don't change the end cost of the vehicle using these "4 square sheets" do they. Don't they just show different payments, resulting in more/less total vehicle cost?
Car loans from manufacturers are simple interest and there is no difference between bi-weekly and monthly in interest paid.

So they bumped the base engine but left the GT power plant alone (essentially)? Laaaaame.

Well G70 get the new 3.5T while the Stinger keep the old 3.3T. You got to give people a reason to buy the Genesis version.

Isn’t Genesis a Hyundai? And Stinger is a Kia?

Or are the Koreans more incestuous than I realized?

Clearly the fact that there was any relationship between Kia and Hyundai, aside from both being Korean, was a gap for me.

I think I can live with that as I have no intention of ever owning a Korean car. So they can call them whatever they want.

Hey, there are plenty of things I'm a long way from being current on due to low qty of FuxGiven.

But really, you're that dead set against these brands? I think a lot of the new Hyundai stuff is looking better and better while likely offering a lot of value (if you keep it a long time).

There is a long list of cars I do like that I would like to own that I don’t. I don’t see why I should dabble in cars I don’t like considering that.

I think the two recent commercials are really starting to win me over. The one with the TUNES and the other one with the child pissing in his carseat.

    Spoiler:

It was fun re-reading this thread and seeing my comments from early 2018 before I started looking for a new vehicle and then ending up buying the 2019 Genesis G70 in April 2018. Fun times.
