    Default Best Paint/Vehicle Protection

    Hello all,

I recently purchased a new vehicle and I am going to get some sort of paint protection when it arrives.

With the technology apparently changing every year, I am wondering what the best solution is on the market these days and if the community has any recommendations for shops in Calgary. After talking with a friend it sounds like PPF is old school and there are much better solutions out there.

    Thanks

    Get it ceramic coated.

Or just wrap it blue like usual

Really impressed with suntek ultimate and CSII ceramic on my C63. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

I wouldn’t say that PPF is old school, you should still have it have done as it’s the only thing that will actually protect your paint from rocks and road debris.

Ceramic coating on top just lowers your maintenance substantially to keep your car in top shape.

Have also heard very good things about suntek PPF. I highly recommending giving Rainer a call (SR international), he's also a member on the forum. Nothing but absolute compliments for him and his team. Also, congrats on the RWS Bavarian, post pics/videos when it arrives

Call up Rainer @ SR International. Get a proper education on the various coatings and then decide on one.

I've had my coating for over a year now and I would get another one in a heartbeat. Car always looks like it has a fresh coat of wax on it when I come out of the touchless car wash. No more waxing, and washes are so much easier when nothing sticks to it. Don't need to worry if I find a bird pooped on my car and I haven't noticed, and it's protected from the salt in the winter.

SR also does PPF (Suntek) if you want to do both.

Keep in mind none of these coatings protect against rocks or damage, they protect your paint from everything else though and maintenance goes down to almost zero.

Thanks for the replies. Got in touch with SR and sounds like I’ll do a suntek and ceramic combination. Cheers

Rainer has done my last 4 cars. Highly recommended.

I don't bother with front/a-pillar bullshit, and just get the whole thing wrapped now.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

As an extension to my post. Rainer at SR is the man, has always treated me so great.

Car is going to him for decontamination once the snow melts.

+1 for Rainer at SR. I've used him 3x in the past year and exceptional each time. Your go to guy for PPF and coatings.
