Ahhh... Looks like they are clearing out some inventory so that makes sense. I just checked my Michelin warehouse and they are the same price here currently, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of a drop on the PSS if they end up sitting on a bunch of disco'd part numbers. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Yup PSS/PS4S is the only way to go as far as I'm concerned if you're looking for a do anything summer street tire that wears well, I ran them on my vette and enjoyed them on the track and the street, not terribly slow at auto-x either. First thing I did on the Golf R was get rid of the factory conti's and put on some PSS's.
What's the new car? A 245/45/18 is pretty smallThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Bumping this since it seems like the right place to put this.
I just got new Pilot AS3+ on my WRX a couple of weeks ago. The past couple of times I’ve taken it out, I get a vibration akin to an unbalanced tire for the first 10 mins or so and then it goes away. Wondering if that’s just the tires flat spotting and if it’s a common thing with that tire. I will say that the car typically sits during the week and only sees action on the weekend.
Funny, I had the same wonder this weekend. Got my Firehawk I500s on a couple weeks back and I've noticed a bit of wheel shimmy for the first 20min or so of highway driving but it seems to go away once things have warmed up a bit. Same situation, primarily a weekend driver. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My PSS's on my S2000 did the same thing! Was never 100% sure why but a temporary flat spot from it sitting makes sense. Mine would sit for several days/weeks at a time.
That can happen for sure, especially if the car is parked on warm tires (as will be the case most days) and we are experiencing colder nights. If it goes away as soon as the tires get some warmth into them, you do not have any kind of balancing issue. It's funny... Some cars seem more sensitive to this than others. Higher performance tires are definitely more prone to this than more durable touring tires because the compounds tend to be a bit more specialized.
Just the person I was hoping to hear from! Figured it wasn’t an unbalanced tire since it went away but wasn’t 100% sure. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
PS: Thanks for the tires Bob! Got exactly what I had hoped for out of them.
