I had two bowls here with the wife today and the ramen is not bad. The char sui is very good and flavorful but we both thought the broth was bland. No spicy option for you hot soup lovers as well.
If you have an allergy to seafood you should let them know. I believe they add dashi to one of their ramen.

I brought it up to our waitress and she told the kitchen. Shortly after she returned and said thanks for the feedback but the chef said it's purposely made that way because it is hard to tailor to everyone's taste. While I do acknowledge it is impossible to please everyone, purposely choosing to put out a bland broth doesn't seem like the best path.
@rage2 is the machine that they use to make the noodles capable of making thinner noodles?
It’s not really bland, just not overpowering like every other ramen place. We’ve had this same discussion with between a couple of us, a small number of us like it better this way, so we’ll see if they change course down the road.
Pretty sure the machine has different blades to cut whatever thickness they want.

You know if you actually want to succeed in the restaurant business, you have to give the customers what they want.
You don't win friends with bland.
Even Iron Chefs have admitted they use too much salt.
They just need to not give a shit and amp up the msg

It's ramen, the glutamate levels are already off the charts- kombu and katsuobushi are mega sources of it.
Google reviews are mostly good, but still a lot of reports of bland broth.
What's the difference between salt and soy base, flavour wise?
I'm gonna head there tonight to check it out.
I can eat more hot wings than you.
I personally prefer the broth light, the way wakado makes it. Some of the other places, the broth is very rich, and for me, I'm not a fan of super rich broths.
I don't think the broth is bland, but rather light instead. I liked this joint regardless. Loved the fat noodles. Great service too btw.

If you want rich broth, they have the miso now which has a richer broth than I like. Others love it. Also available as spicy.

Went for dinner. Got the black ramen and gyoza.
Broth was not bland at all, in fact I'd put the overall flavor profile of the soup at the higher limits for my salt preferences.
Enjoyed it though. Even more so with a tablespoon of that chili oil in it. Would eat again.

I prefer a light broth as well. I find that a lot of places have a broth that is too salty and it overpowers everything. You wouldn't even want to drink the broth in those cases.
Excited to try this place out soon!
Agreed. The black garlic oil ramen is actually delicious, gone back the past two weeks! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Just ate my bowl and drank all the soup. I think the soup was just about right. Wife had the miso and I think that was good too.
Will come back but I think theny need to add an option for extra noodles. Can never go wrong with extra noodles.
Had black garlic, the broth and char siu is best in town IMO.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
