    Default Calgary Porsche aftermarket support

A good friend of mine is in the process of upgrading his 2010 Carrera to a 2017 C4S Turbo 7 Speed stick. The car is coming from Vancouver to Calgary and he asked me to look into options to help him with some aftermarket goodies. Is there someone in Calgary you guys would recommend for him to go to? Looking at ECU upgrade and exhaust at the moment.

I love Porsche and have worked on quite a number of them!

Tuning wise I have the following:

Cobb Tuning - They are killing it with the platform! - https://www.cobbtuning.com/products/...er-991-carrera
    - Map notes - https://cobbtuning.atlassian.net/wik...1+NA+Map+Notes

    VR Tuned - https://www.vividracing.com/catalog/...&class_9=34888

    EVOMSit

I also have another brand that I deal with that is entering the Porsche world. Their tune is in the development phase.

Exhaust. Lots of options! Two I deal with the most:
    Akrapovic - https://www.akrapovic.com/#!/car/pro...=856&phaseId=1
    AWE - http://www.awe-tuning.com/vaf/produc...sion=&year=758

    Other options are:
    Armytrix
    Fabspeed
    Kline
    Remus
    FI

Personally I love the valved options so my vote would be for - Armytrix, Kline or FI

Take it to Scan Automotive before it leaves Vancouver.

You should try Mike at alpine autowerks. He's a exclusive dealer for Volcano exhausts here in Canada. They are amazing Japanese exhausts. Plus he works on Porsches day in and day out.

Thanks for all the suggestions! We looked at some exhaust last night, and the IPE F-1 exhaust sounds insane! Lots of good gains through ECU mods as well, should be interesting to see how it is after some tweaks.

Not my style for exhausts, they are too loud and.do not suit the car IMO. But each to there own exhuast is very personal and is not a one size fits all thing.

I was in Banff a couple weeks ago and there was R8 with a very bad exhaust... it sounded like a 74 nova with no exhuast ...

For any and all exhaust work, I suggest going to Chris at Unobtainium Welding

He did a custom exhaust for our cayman, and it sounds FANTASTIC. He's also very well-known for his work with Porsches
