They'll probably "forget" to put up the 50 signs for the collector roads.
It’s a good thing it doesn’t apply to them then!

40 km/h mountain view road still cracks me up. What does the city know at that the county doesn't with 60 km/h from the city limit.
Obviously we are all against saving lives because trying to prevent collisions isn't the solution.

Council not sending to a plebiscite basic speaks to their arrogant, better than you mentality.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Fluoride was worth a plebiscite, but this wasn't.

    Fluoride again??
Mass medication and the city has lots of cash to implement it.
Common denominator on both these subjects are people need to take responsibility for their own actions. Brush your teeth, don't drink sugar water ball day, drive responsibly.

This election can't come soon enough.

Didn't we have a plebiscite about fluoride once already? Or twice already?

    Twice

It doesn't do anything. Kids don't drink water anyways.
Put fluoride in juice and pop end cavities for good!

They have fluoride in mouthwash anyways. It's not needed in water.

Perfect, I'll just have my 2 year old rinse with mouthwash once or twice a day.

If you don't think your kid can swish and spit, I don't know what else to tell you. I'm not claiming it's dangerous, but it is an unnecessary use of our taxes.

Everyone bitching about city halls spending, but you want to waste $30m on re-introducing it to our water supply.

If you think getting a 2yo to swish and spit mouthwash is, in any way, a reasonable goal I don't know what to tell you

I'd rather have the city spend money on that over a bunch of things.

But even more, I'd rather they never got rid of it.

Thank god there is a chance to bring it back. I hope most people vote yes. Whatever the cost, i'm sure society collectively spends way more on dental work. Yes most of that would be private dental plans, but I would be willing to bet that the Welfare / Alberta Works dental plans for poor people dole out way more in dental claims a year compared to cost of adding fluoride to our water, so in the end I think our tax dollars are saved overall. The only losers here are going to be dentists.

On a related note, does anyone know off the top of their head if standard water filters like Britas/in-fridge water filters filter out fluoride?

All kids are different, but mine was doing it. Late two's, but still two.

Who cares about when your kid is two? They lose all those shitty child teeth anyways. If you can't teach them at 5, there's an issue there.
