$200k that could have been spent on a cock ring for the South instead!
Geezus fuck this really shows how fucking stupid the Councillors are. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
On the topic of speed limits:

On the plus side, 24 hour city wide residential playground zones?
Will fuck off, again.
I remember raging about that report when it came out. This video is echoing everything I said about it back then. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Did common sense actually prevail? (well minus, spendshi, Druh Farrell and Shane Keating - there's no hope for those)

And what fruit cake would argue for something that has 0 benefit to the city and then state the two cant be compared, when the money was moved from one to the other.
Councillors Shane Keating, Evan Woolley, Gian-Carlo Carra, Druh Farrell and Mayor Naheed Nenshi voted against the motion.
The public engagement process on the potential speed limit changes was initially passed in an 8-6 vote on Nov. 18.
Carra said he didn’t feel council should be pitting the funding against one another.
Everyone in the city should have to read that last sentence by Carra before they sign his name on a ballot. Holy crap can a guy be out of touch.

AFAIK they just cancelled the public engagement. They will just vote on it now. Not cancelled completely. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If they went ahead with a reduction without public consultation I think they'd piss off a lot of people. People didn't want the consultation going ahead not just because it's a waste of $200K but also because residential speed limits are not a problem that needs solving. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. They will just make up some stats to get their way. Like blanket everything of course instead of making certain zones 30 or 40 on a need to do basis. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
