Wow. It's amazing only half of them died. Driven through that corner 1000's of times growing up, it's on the way to the little ski hill I grew up riding on.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I say stupid shit all the time.
One of the injured victims had succumbed to his injuries.
Death toll now at 15
These make it look very much like the charter bus tboned the semi truck. Front end is totally missing. Truck cab isn't damaged. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Except that traveling westbound on Highway 3 3 5 requires you cross the main Highway 35, as that is the one that runs north and south. There is no way that team bus would have been on the 335, it's just not how you would get there from Humboldt. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

My guess is the semi pulled out in front of the bus and the bus hit the trailer at full force.
I'm not saying it was. Just the nature of the impact. Previous to the pictures I was thinking it was the bus that got hit from the side. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Looks to me from the pics that the truck blew through the stop sign and t-boned the bus near the front. They spun and ended up more less where both momentum would carry them. The front of the bus likely got sheared off, and the rest cut off by the first responders. That's my layman view of things anyway.
No in get it, just explaining before the conversation got taken off in that direction by someone else. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Regardless of the cause, still a tragedy. I can't even imagine the guilt of anyone who survived. Even as a news reader I can't help but think of the what-ifs to prevent this. Bad luck played a huge part in this, even if a stop sign was run.

Tremendous support so far, great to see. Tragic event for sure
Same. Look where the front axle of the bus is, and the way the side is peeled away near the front. This wouldn't happen if the bus was going fast and the truck wasn't - it'd be the opposite. Again, my layman view. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I dont see skid marks from either vehicle until after impact.
Absolutely gutting. Condolences to all involved and RIP.
Yes, that is awesome. TSN said support higher than expected which is great! Don't want to get sappy but accidents can happen at any time. Appreciate our loved ones, friends, and may be even some co workers!
That much money is going to prove to be a challenge for them
