Default Maple syrup into the states

I want to bring some maple syrup into the states for a friend of mine but I'm only travelling with a carry on. Will they let me bring it with me if unopened?

I had no issues bringing it. When you go through security they give you a little baggy to put it in. I think it has to be under 500ml

It will fall under the normal rules of carrying liquids

The number to call the airport is closed today. I think I would need to bring it only by the use of checked luggage... It's unfortunate

I don't know what you are asking. If it's too much liquid for carry on, and you don't want checked baggage, maybe send it FedEx?

Honestly at this point, if you're so concerned, your best course of action will be to hire a private jet to take you and your maple syrup down there. You won't have any problems with it in carry-on, or as a checked bag.

After I check in i'm sure there will be a shop that is open 24hrs that sells syrup! I can buy it before boarding and i can carry it on with me. Problem solved

Because of your post, I looked this up

Too bad maple syrup won't freeze until -57C which a residential freezer won't handle.
