nice mods!
how easy is it to replace the movement on the SKX line?
thought about swapping one with a NH35 or NE15 but don't really care for hacking and winding but would be a nice experience to do.

It's not hard to do if you're handy. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The tough part is finding the SARB059 crown.
You have to have it in order to do the swap, they are becoming extremely rare and overpriced since they are no longer made.
tried replacing the hands on my Tiger-Concept 1016 and watch is of no good now (anyone want it as a spare/project for free?)
1. Oyster cases are a PITA (returning the one opener that I bought from Amazon as it was still too small)
2. Wasted almost 2 hours trying to install the second hand (both new and old) and couldn't get them it, managed to have one stay there for a few seconds then falls down
might stick with Seiko for project watches from now on.
Seiko SNZF17 came in, immediately swapped it with an SRPA71 dial
My skx hasn’t come in yet. Shoulda paid more and got it sooner
where is it coming from? HK?
bought some hands from dagaz, 3-4 weeks and still no sign
Yes. And same. Waiting on dagazThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I almost don’t want to mod this watch.
Just waiting on parts. I have a polished chapter ring, sapphire double dome crystal, omega hands and green bezel coming. The coin bezel is pictured.
nice, mods for the hulk mod are in now too?
been over 6 weeks now and still no parts from dagaz
I got my chapter ring in from Dagaz yesterday. I’m waiting on the dial and hands and the bezel ring. I’ve taken the hands off and removed the dial. Just need my parts. I want to order another skx009. Just to wear. I like the Pepsi bezel.
Maybe you guys might know how to fix this. I've got an old watch where the crown/stem isn't working properly. I can pull it one click to change the date, but the next pull completely removed the stem and crown out. This means I cannot set the time on this particular watch.
Any ideas?
Depends on the movement... could be as simple as tightening a screw that has loosened off, or more
Ball of tape should help unscrew the back and you can go from there
What watch is it? Is the movement automatic quartz or manual wind? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Completely disassembled now.
I've already opened up the back of the case and the stem clicks into place, but I don't need to push the tab to release it, it comes straight out.
It's a shitty Michael Kors watch from 2007 or something.
Seems like it’s just be a screw. Can you take a photo of the movement for me?
Here are some pics...
There's a tab where it says push to take out the stem. Something in there is wonky. Maybe just have to bend a tab down slightly. You can see the upset in the stem where this tab would restrain it.
Parts! Finally. The crystal and the ceramic bezel here. Still waiting on dial and hands. 2 months from China.
