The ones on Amazon.ca are V2's. I don't even think you can buy the V1 anymore. The Pan is just a V2 in a different body. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I agree it was an odd excuse however it was more to the point that they are unable to offer hardware support to Canadian customers or honor the warranty. Not a big deal at the ridiculously low price point though - you can't even buy a crappy 720P generic IP camera for $37.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I ran into this exact same thing yesterday haha. I guess I'm gonna have to finally join the Sweetgrass, Montana club one of these days soon...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I'd recommend picking up an sd card to go with them too. I have mine on continuous record with a 128gb card, plus I get the 12sec notifications as well.
What MicroSD did you buy? I misunderstood the cloud, the 14 day cloud only stores notifications (12 second clips) - Not actual footage. So I need an card for it haha...
The ones on Amazon are indeed the V2s.
I caved and bought the amazon ones. Picked up a couple of these micro sd cards during the prime sale for $18, didn't know what I would need em for, but now I do!

Any $10-15 Micro SD card from Sandisk/Samsung/Lexar that isn't a knock-off is 100% fine. The bitrate is very low, any slow U1 / Class 10 card will work just fine. You can buy high endurance micro SD cards but since normal ones are so cheap they are basically free, I wouldn't bother. You don't need a huge card either, even 16-32GB is going to give you a ton of footage. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Something like this for $10 and you're good to go:

I bought a samsung 64gb from amazon and 128gb sandisk from costco, both work fine. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I personally would disagree, anything below 64GB to me is a waste, provided you want to record in HD.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
A 32GB card will get you ~2 days of HD footage and ~7 days of SD footage, before it rolls over. My 64GB samsung rolled over after about ~6 days of recording, whjich is why I bought a 128GB card for my 2nd camera.
Cool, I was going to ask if larger cards work! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I think I'm going to pick up a couple since they're so cheap!

It’s too bad they don’t have a paid record to cloud subscription. Recording locally sucks, especially with unlimited internet plans. Rather not deal with storage and view archival footage from anywhere.

If you have a micro sd card in the camera, you can view historical footage anywhere (via phone app). You will get the 12sec clips saved on the cloud for 14 days, but you can also go back in through the app and go to a specific time frame and view the footage. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. No need to go that far..just take the sd cards, leave the cams aloneThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It just depends how much footage you want. If something happens, chances are you are going to check it that same day (or more likely within the hour) so you may not need many days of footage. Some people like to keep more, that's fine. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I don't know what the bitrate is but its weird that you get 3 times the footage on a card double the size unless the birate is variable, but then neither would be consistent.
Yeah, to each there own. I found that odd as well. Once my 128gb fills up ill see how many days of HD footage it holds and report back compared to the 64gb. I should note, the 32GB and ~2 days and ~7 days was taken from the Wyze website. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Just looking at the screen, it looks like the bitrate is 100 KB/s. It might be higher when writing to the card, but assuming it isn't, it should work out to roughly 8GB per day which is actually quite a lot. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
