I always finish my pop/coffee then take a full refill to go.
Especially bad with McD's $1 coffees, the 2 XL equals to 6 cups a day.

We started doing this because we used to both order a small pho + spring rolls and she'd only have like half of her noodles before she was full.
It might sound weird and I thought it was weird at first too, like I was being cheap or something but it worked out better for portion-wise. The cost saving is just an added benefit.
From time to time, we still order our own food if I have a bun vermicelli craving and she wants noodle soup.
I’m also getting to the point where at my age I just can’t eat that much food anymore. So my husband and I usually just share a appy and one full meal. When we go out to The Keg we usually do garlic shrimp and the Keg Classic Petit fillet. Even THAT is to much food. A small 6oz steak, salad, potato and asparagus with the appy and we barely finish it every time.

I will say that millennials do have different values on food though.
Sharing a pizza is still done? Not too sure on that one. Or does everyone just buy their own slice. The way old people used to throw out coffee would be like opening up a Red Bull, and if you didn't finish it on the hour - pour it out and get another one with dinner, lol.
Some habits die hard, and the sharing coffee on is definitely ingrained, even when it comes to a single big cup and not that round pot that everyone is used to. I'm positive there are still breakfast places where you can just ask for the entire pot be put at the table.

I usually get large bowl of pho, wife gets a small, and I still end up with half her noodles.
#stillfat
I also make myself half a pot of coffee, and finish it.

Been going ham on meal prep lately for breakfast/lunches to bring to work... doesn't really seem to be helping the wallet though, or not noticeably in the past few months anyways...

I have this one friend that's so cheap, when we go out to eat and say his meal with tax and tip is $20, he'll put down $15 and expect that everyone else's tip will cover his and the rest, that drives me insane. He gets called out all the time.
My old filipino boss used to do that all the time too, but he flat out told us to cover the tip and tax, he's a real winner.

I wouldn't even go out to eat with them.
It drives me insane when people do that... they would order a $15.99 dish and just put down $15 cause that's their portion. We try hard to cut those people out of our lives lol. The only people left in our circle of eating friends are the ones that would add tax + tips, then round it up to the nearest $10s lol.... so whoever put in their money last usually end up not having to pay at all because there would already be so much money on the table .This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I get mad at my wife for using the fireplace that costs dimes per hour to run but I'm sitting here contemplating buying $1400 coilovers for my car because I hate the excessive wheel gap even though it's mainly my winter vehicle lol

I spend far more money than my wife does, so if she wants to get something/do something, I always encourage it haha.
I do the same thing to my wife with lights.
Told her I’m going to start taking the bulbs out of half the fixtures.
I mostly get annoyed in the summer when all the incandescent s are on heating up the bedroom.
