    Default Fender Rolling recommendation

any recommendation for shops in calgary that does fender rolling? Dont want to break the bank either.

recently put on 19s on my 2016 IS300. while I think my car was at full load 200+lbs winter tire/wheels and full tank driving home to drop them off, heard 2 rubbing sound in the rear. one turning onto a hill/corner (sound was quite small) and another over a pretty obvious bump. after it was fine on my way back to work

while if I want to absolutely not to hear any rub ever again, it would appear either finding the right wheel/tire combo or getting the rear fender rolled.

Those that know more about tire rubbing, is occasional rubbing at full load something I can live with and not worry too much? or any rub is bad..

With stock fenders there's a possibility of the tire catching on the edge of the fender and getting cut. You could just do a very slight roll so it'll rub if if needs to but won't catch on thr tire. Or a bit more camber if your alignment specs allow for it

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

if I do this I probably wont do it myself. I am paranoid when it comes to this stuff. I will however monitor this and see just how freq it is. so far it hasnt happened again even with my family 2 kids/wife in the car. the 4 wheel/tire in the rear/trunk during my way home must have been the biggest reason. an even weight distribution seems to keep me a notch or maybe a hair from rubbing again.

if this is ever so border line, I may consider adjusting the camber first . before exploring other more costly/risky options

ok so I think I have narrowed down to 3 options to fix this issue.

Feel free to comment if you can help me decide which is the better way.

in short my 19s offset 38+ is rubbing under full load on the rear back side (left), I read everyone who has 40+ offset was fine. No problem at all. hence I am really 2mm from the sweet spot.

I dont want to change tires or wheels as I am pretty set on them based on my own reasons. wheels dont come in narrow 19s nor does the tire have 255/30 (current 265/30)

    so either I do

    1. Fender roll - the problem is Lexus unlike other cars, dont have much to work with, as the fender is already quite thin. the risk of damaging or cracking the paint or causing rust down the road is what I have to consider.
    2. Chamber adjustment - lexus forum users have recommended getting SPC control arm for the rear and changing or adding negative cam to the rear side but depending on how much I need to adjust, risk with this is chewing thru my tires.
    3. Modify wheel - the owner at UrbanX suggested I goto Alberta wheel repair to machine down the center bore/ring and get it down 2mm so that I basically change the offset of the wheel to 40+ they charge 50 per wheel.

Now what does everyone think? option 3 is most cost effective, it will also depend on if the center bore/ring is thick enough for this operation as no wheels are alike. I like option 2 because negative camber is usually a good thing for improving handling anyways and gives me future option for wheel choices. I am less keen on option 1 for the risk of body panel damage where it may be irreversible.
