Isn't this what they were doing during the boom? I remember some mortgage broker called me in to try and get me to do one these scams for him back in 06-07

haha some of the people that go to these Calgary car auctions get involved in a bidding war just to show each other who has more money and usually end up paying more than retail for the car

Pretty much.

Auctions used to be a place to find some good deals, but now, damn near everything goes for a crazy price, and egos usually get involved.

I haven't bought anything from an auction in like 10 years now because of it.

No, none of the names are familiar to me.

I did do a search to see if any names came up as a current or previous licensed Realtor or Mortgage Associate and Jared Jenkins came up... status "Currently Not Authorized". Which means if this is the same person... is under investigation.

Unfortunately, these type of situations are the reason for the extra paperwork that we request... there is always someone out there trying to get around the system and hurts the rest of us!
