what is the wall thickness? i have tig welded brass on several occasions. usually not pretty but can be machined/sanded back down to look better.
i thought at first it had a really thin wall but looking at it, it looks around 1/8'? if it is i could probably weld it without a backer. brazing with silfos or something would work but i am the suck at brazing.
imo it should be clamped tight back to original shape, the crack should be vee'd out a bit (machined) still clamped or re-clamped then welded with silicon bronze or aluminum bronze rod? or brazed? that will give the best chance of successful functional repair lol
