Update: Production date is 1307; these were the OEM tires on their 2012 ML350. Drove from the dealership to Kaltire for winters, have been bagged and in a temperature & humidity controlled basement since Nov 2012.

I believe there is a zero, no wait, less than zero percent chance Mercedes put 5 year old rubber on a new car at the factory. The friend you're selling these for must have got their dates mixed up or something. Either way 10-11 year old rubber is well beyond what I’d feel safe running, full tread or not, especially when the background story doesn't add up. But maybe someone else is willing to take the chance so GLWS.
