Cool car but seems overpriced IMHO - I'd be surprised if they got anywhere near that asking price. At least clean the thing properly if you're asking $150K for a 30 year old car with 70,000+ KM on it.

Also what is a proper factory-grade paint-job worth these days? $10K? Probably wasn't that mint if they elected to paint the whole car.

Obviously I am not the target market for this though.

JDM 190Es were leeft hand drive? Weird.

Maybe the only time I've seen a JDM import not look like cheesy dogshit.
All JDM benzes are LHD if I remember correctly.

My cousin got a R107 AMG from Japan back in 2003ish and it was LHD. Perhaps the only other example in history of a JDM import that doesn't look like cheesy dogshit.

That looks good. Apparently the Germans do JDM better than the Japanese do JDM.

German cars imported into japan were typically lhd. A lot of people made big money importing e30 m3s over the last several years and selling them for 4-500%.

I’ve been on BPRO a lot recently thinking about importing a 190E. If that thing sells.. they’ll probably fetch 3-400%.

They are definitely stretching a bit. Similar Evo Is typically sell in the €70-85,000 range... In years past, only the absolute best would crack €100,000... And a car with non-original paint and 70k km is not the absolute best.

Had a 48V battery failure yesterday. Since everything runs off it (oil pump water pump AC) all the critical functions shut down to persevere battery life. Warnings on both screens to pull the fuck over right now. Even low beam headlights turned off based on the errors it was firing. No hybrid assist and man this car is laggy as fuck without it.

Parked it for 5 mins, restarted, and everything came back. Stopped by the dealer to scan, saw codes, one time, system checked out fine. They think it's a one time thing, if it comes back they'll take the car in and dig in further.

I'll update once I get stranded.
Damn, that sucks. Totally don't expect this type of problems with newer MBs. I'm eyeing the E53 wagon for in about a year, hopefully they continue to work out bugs if any. Still worry about hybrids generally, just higher chance of issues with more complex components. My previous GLA45 was the most reliable car I've ever owned, zero issues.

Might be a loose ground, happened while stopped in traffic. E turbo not enough power for my demanding driving style. That’s how I read it.

Hopefully it doesn't happen again. I'm sure you'll keep driving it hard and really push that e-turbo!
