Ok.... Ive finally calmed down and settled in with a nice cup of tea.
Jesus fucking christ.. that tension was too much.. I had several heart attacks. Hell...My parents in London even called me after the game..

Spain are out, Germany are out, Portual are out.. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... England are still in it.

Is it me or are there a lot of extra time goals this World Cup?!

There has been quite a few... adds to the drama I guess. I think many teams come to the point they have nothing to lose and go for it.

What a game.. The Narcos cartel tried to turn this into a wrestling match.. and it hit them in the arse hard. They did not expect the mighty lions to play them at thier own game...
Colombia spent so much time stopping the game, falling over etc that they forgot the one thing they were suppose to do.. Play FOOTBALL!!!

Coming to Russia was not just about one big party of coke and hookers... or get away from thier dominating wives....... It was to play le fubu.

Back at the stadum...the stands stood empty.. The fans had left....
In the errie silence..St George stood by the corpse that was Colombian Dragon... He walked in silence and slowly mounted his lion led chariot. As the chariot led away he looked back... only the Babuskas remained to clear up the stadium and gather scraps for their evening broth.. Vultures slowly circled what remained of the battlefield...

The Chariot took off in speed... England had stormed into the quarter finals...
The world held its breath....and the lions roared into the darkness of the Russian night...

I agree. Second moderate test against a European team. I agree Brazils defence be the deciding factor, especially if Belgium press too far up and get caught on the counter.
Brazil kill the pace pretty easily. When there is a free kick against them, watch how the ball is not given back and all the players move back in postion. Will Brazil follow the negative tactics and not follow the game like Colombia or will Brazil shift up a gear?

I wonder how Belgium will approach the game, will they keep thier composure, press hard in midfield and ignore the play from Brazils back line..? Thats how I would do it to avoid being stretched. I think a lot of high balls in Brazils penalty area might work (Brazil play on the floor). I think Roberto Martínez will have been studying the Swiss game in detail.

Im still debating if I should get up early and go to the pub..

I was partially right about Belgium, they started and avoided Brazils back line.

Brazil spent too much time against weaker teams rolling over, and playing the bullshit start stop tactics. When it mattered to stop that and up thier game...where was thier game? They have come against a moderate strong European team and those shitty non plays don't work. If anything it worked against them. When there was a foul there is gonna be doubt against Brazil now.

Why did Naymar continue with some of his falling over? If he spent less time doig that, Brazil would have had a bit more time playing FOOTBALL..
The commentator talked about Brazil being the stronger team, bullshit.. Belgium was stronger in holding them off.

To be fair, Brazils goal was brilliant, just brillant. But Belgiums second goal in the first half was amazing.
When I look back on Brazils teams of the past. I remember the brillance of Romario, Ronaldo, Cafu.
Naymar is going to be remembered for his fake rolls... sad... very sad.
