You probably already noticed if you normally pay cash.

Glad this finally happened. Should have happened along time ago like B.C.
Always pay at the pump, makes no difference to me.
All the gas stations I go to have required this for years and like @eblend who the hell doesn’t pay at the pump lol
Senior Citizens are going to be so pissed.

I can't remember a single time in the last 10 years that I haven't pre-paid.

I don't think I've paid cash or not paid at the pump with a speedpass or credit card for 25 yearsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Anyone know how to enter petropoints manually at the pump? Entered my card into a digital wallet and tossed it like 6 months ago..
I don't like this. Such a pain in the ass with fleet cards which is probably 95% of my refueling.

Stations must be pissed. Foot traffic just decreased even further.

Happy for safety and theft reduction points. Happy it will keep me away from last minute redbulls and chips too. :P
I can eat more hot wings than you.
Definitely. All of the profits are made in store. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
not so sure this is true. I think the people that typically pay@pump will continue this and no change. The folks that were used to postpay (fueling first then pay inside) will probably just start prepaying inside instead of paying at pump. Just means they have to go inside before now and not after... and depending on the station/payment method, might have to go back and get their change after they're done. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I have literally never not prepaid/paid at the pump. It is so convenient. I think most people do this, at least based on what I see at the pumps. Shouldn't make much of a difference.
Would it make a difference? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If gas and dash or pay at pump, they won't come in. If they pay in cash, they now have to go in twice, once for deposit, once for change.
Foot traffic in theory, doubles!
For my old work truck we had corp rate cards which only worked inside after filling up, so unless that company specifically changes the cards that would cause a big issue.
And I always used to go inside and grab a slurpee or something, recently I just pre-pay and it curbs my buying candy etc soo less profits for them
I've been pre-paying at the pump itself for years now.
if the station/brand doesn't allow the corp rate fleet cards to be used at the pump, they would still work with an indoor prepay. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
