That'll do it. Cut those out alone will save you ~400 calories a day (assuming a medium with cream) = weight loss. Ditch the sugar filled cereal, and all of sudden you're on your way. IF works, but its not a magic bullet if you're still going to eat shitty food.

Well I've gained a belly. I dont eant it, but the winter hasn't been good to me, as it made me lazy as fuck.

I am thinking about doing this. I've never changed my diet, ever. I dont drink coffee, I do drink iced capps 3 to 4 days a week, I know I have to cut that shit out. I usually have a bowl of (bad for you) cereal at 5am before work, banana and yogurt around 930 and average lunch, ie: sandwiches, granola bars etc..and I dunno, regular dinner between 5 and 6pm.

So for a 200lb guy looking to trim it up by trying IF, where would I start?
So you have a shitload of refined sugar in your diet. I wouldn't fuck around with anything until you fully understand how much of that you are eating and you have started to significantly cut it out. Those iced caps are basically slurpees.

Interesting, i'll keep seeing how this goes then. Could be that this season has been worse than the previous ones due to the infant picking up colds and such.

Ya man, I've been saying I'll cut the shit out for a long time, but I keep reneging on it lol the cereal as well is something I know isnt good.

I feel like basically any cereal that isnt just bran, is bad...

Yes sir. Shitload. I dont want to cut it out completely cold Turkey, so I've actually been cutting down on the sugars and treats already.

Swap the granola bars for something else. If you like bars, the simply protein from superstore are much better.

Shreddies are pretty decent, and I find them pretty palatable.

I've been trying IF since mid Jan (8pm - 12noon fast, but black coffee) and have not noticed anything major. Weight is about the same but belt size has gone down a notch or two.

I have also upped my activity levels (both gym and cardio). Ideally, I should stand to lose about 20lbs of fat.

Stable weight and smaller waist is pretty much an ideal scenario for a lot of people. Nice work man.

Or you can try this too, no breakfast, no carbs after 4pm.

The thing with weight loss I noticed is it's different for everyone. When I tried to cut weight at age 35, I think it took me something like 6 weeks to get it going but when I was 30, I felt the jump start in 2-3 weeks.

Come summer, I usually drop 10 pounds with just activity. I'm not sure that I can cut out carbs. BUT, I want to be around 185, just with less belly. I weighed myself and I'm not 200, I'm 190...

well, I'm starting an IF regime. Going to aim for a 7/17 window, eating from 11-6. My main goal is calorie reduction and I think IF will be the easiest way to accomplish that. Wish me luck.

Well, day one was good, lost weight too! That's like scientific proof, right? Guess I'll keep it up.

I managed to get to 178 from 210 since I started IF back in Oct 2017.
Christmas holidays though I indulged in too many sweets (wife in mat leave with a sweet tooth doesn't help) so I'm up to 190 right now.
Still doing 6/18 or 8/16 IF window and my diet hast really changed much other that more sugar and carb (white rice too) lately.

Now that weather is getting warmer I will be more active again but I'm also planning on cutting down on sugar and carbs.
I find that the more active I get the less I crave those anyway.

As you get older, 10 pounds becomes, 7 lbs, become 5 lbs, becomes nothing.

In the span of 5-6 years I went from 170 at the end of the summer to 190. Same food, same activity level. Got to change the diet.

Just finishing up a forced 44hr fast, down 6lbs in the first 24hrs of it... nothing like an all natural food poisoning cleanse
