I am about a year into ownership with my KeyOne, and honestly it is the greatest phone I've ever owned. The battery lasts for two or even three days, it runs all the normal Andriod apps, the camera is equivalent to the Pixel 2 so it takes great photos, and of course having a physical keyboard has made my life so much easier.

There is quirky innovative things like the keypad doubles as a giant touch sensitive track pad for scrolling through websites, and you can program each key to launch your favorite apps. It also has wicked security software, plus regular updates from BB, and unlike the Samsung's in my household it never gets buggy. The wake/finger print scanner is in the space bar and it works way better than the Samsung one for seamless unlocking.

It reminds me of my first Honda, when you start to realize all the little things that were thought out and work properly.

My biggest concern was actually that they wouldn't launch another phone within the 2 year contract window, but out of the blue I saw that the KeyTwo was released:

Definitely going to be my next phone!
Couldn't have said it any better, by far the best phone I've ever had. Love mine still and still get compliements on how classy/professional the phone looks, have even convinced a bunch of the lawyers and engineers at my office to go with the Keyone.

Can't wait for the Key2, supposed to be released around the end of this month.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

I am so over apple now, that I was looking at the Pixel 2, but this seems more appealing to me as I really just use my phone for work now.

Most ~3500mAh phones available now are lasting 2-3 days with typical use. Extremely heavy use will always be less though. As of recently I am using my Pixel 2 XL now for both personal and work, and I am usually charging on the start of the third day or not at all if I plug it into my car for a 1A slow charge on my commute.

The camera, associated hardware, and camera software is not really the same or equivalent to the the Pixel 2 as it doesn't even have similar hardware to the original Pixel, nor does it have a processor capable of processing the photos in the same way Google does. I'm sure it's a decent camera but I haven't seen anything that would put it in line with the original Pixel or Pixel 2.

Flagship battery, 2" smaller screen, mid grade processor is the reason why battery performance is top notch.

That said, Key 2 looks to be improved and modernized version of 1. Good job.

I think my wife has had hers for about a year now as well and loves it. She regularly gets 4-5 days out of the battery which I am very jealous of as my Galaxy S7 barely lasts a day now.

Her only complaint that I can't tell if it has changed from this video is the lack of wireless charging. Anyone know if they have added that?

Well, it's really TCL with BB software layered over Android.

For folks with Key One, are you getting monthly updates on time, within a day of 2 of release? That's what I missed about PRIV.

I read somewhere it is supposed to start rolling out at the end of June to the service providers, but haven't seen it come up on the Rogers site yet. Not even a pre-order.

Hmm. Really looks good. Any ideas on pricing?

Edit: nevermind it says on the article above hehe. I will wait for reviews but looks really promising.

Been using my BB Key2 now since it was released around summer 2018, still rocking this phone and still loving it. Absolutely love the keyboard and the look of the phone, but still get abused from apple users - is that a blackberry? They're still. Around? Hahaha.

Anyway, just wondering if you guys still have yours or you went a different direction or what? By far the best phone I've had since the Key One.

I got it brand new when it came out and used it for a couple of weeks before getting bored. Sold it off and haven't wanted to try it out since then. But that's more to do with Android in general. I wish more phones (with different form factors) would start having IOS in them and I feel like that would be a great move for Apple as well but we know that is never going to happen. With all my Apple devices (ipad, watch, macbooks, imacs etc.), it's just way too hard for me to switch from ios now.

The sooner you do it, the sooner it will be done and paying off.

Once in a while I hear a blackberry joke, and I ruin it by saying "well actually my phone is a blackberry"... and most people that see it are really impressed. The ultrafast fingerprint scanner on the space bar and touch sensitive keys usually catch peoples attention the most. People also really like how each key can be assigned as an app shortcut.

I always laugh at people with auxiliary batteries now. Life is good with a phone that will finish a long day filled with music listening, phone calls, and Web browsing with 40 percent left on the battery.

My contract is up in March I think, so I will get the Keytwo as part of my renewal for sure.
I think you'll like the Key2, I like the kb on it more than the one on the Key One, but overall, a solid fucking phone for the past like 8 months that I've had it.

That's the worst part about Samsung phones. Software/OS updates are slow and usually make things worse.
