I will be setting up a time with Sunny shortly!

Calgary is full of incompetent dyno guys and tuners. not one place i would trust with my car. I use the americans that specialize in my platform, not the locals that calim they know it all and can work on anything. lakeviews dyno day was embarasing. what i have come to expect from our local talent.
Not sure if he’s still around but I used to use Reg at RCTS and he was always great.

While I don't disagree that using someone who is familiar with your platform, your tuning suite, and expectations in general is wise....

There are some AMAZING tuners in town....who take a LOT of pride in attaching their names to projects in town....

    Airboy

Have had my STI, S4 and golf R on his dyno. He tuned my STI and I wouldn’t trust anyone else.

My tuner did my file remotely. Sent me an ecu (converted to wideband) with the tune on it. After install of turbo kit I sent him logs via vagcom and he tweaked the tune using the logs. Pretty easy and it blows my old Revo tune out of the water

@Airboy is awesome. Sunny is a great person to deal with when I did dyno runs.

Went to go see Sunny today at airboy tuning and wow, what a difference in customer service and knowledge. I was in and out in 1 hour and everything was effcient.

No, Reg himself tuned my Protege back in the day. He figured out the Haltech pretty quick, but still kept trying to sell me an F-CON V Pro lol

Super nice guy. I think I did 220whp at 8psi?

Edit: found the video from 2007

I used to machine the V-pro covers for them ages ago... Reg loved talking about his Mac and wine tasting adventures... Wayyyyyy out of my league.

And yes, the Fcon's were life with him... Upgrade to an Fcon, he'd say, they are only close to $5k after all was said and done lol

The F-CON wasn’t really an upgrade from my (at the time) state of the art Haltech that I only spent about $2000 on. It did everything the F-CON did and more. I think even Reg was surprised by how feature rich it was.

I think it was more a case of he was comfortable tuning the HKS units, as much as it was him trying to make a sale.

Didn't he help develop the FCON or reverse engineer it?

He was the only official f-con tuner in Canada... that’s why he loved it. Forced clients to only use him... and he would throw a hissy fit if he found out someone else was tuning them in Canada cause he was the only one that was supposed to be able to...

ahh I have spoken with him on a few occasions, I frequent the Polish deli at the north end of his building. Seemed like a smart guy.
