Alonso let Indy slip past his fingers last year thanks to Honda. Let’s hope he gets a better run with Toyota. Starting from pole, off to a good start. Can’t believe he’s doing the entire WEC season along with F1. This is his 2nd weekend race of 5 straight weekends between the 2 series thanks to a F1 triple weekend starting next week.

I always like these endurance races and I'm glad it's on TV from start to finish this time, but holy fuck these commentators are out of things to talk about.

Alonso is really going to earn the win if he is able to reel in the #7.
Buemi fucked him over. Alonso is gaining 3-5s a lap right now. Lots of time left, only really need a safety car to close things up, but great to see him have the pace.

Car #8 is in the lead with 7ish hours to go. Love to see Alonso win one, too bad it will have to be with Buemi...
Really enjoying watching it throughout the day. Have never been one to take much interest in it but I'm glad I did this year.
Final hour. Alonso’s car leads by 2 laps. How will the Alonso curse disappoint us this morning?

Last lap dramatic failure! But honestly him and Kazuki were super fast at night
Submaker.Illest.
Ya we were watching Alonso reel in the #7 car during dinner. Incredible stints by them.

Fun race to watch. So many offs though with nice weather. I streamed it instead of using velocity though no commercials for me on a race with 60 cars. Glad to see Alonso win though I missed 8 passing 7. GT classes had some great taxiing also.
8 passing 7 was pretty anti climatic. Saw a replay of it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Didn't care about commercials. Was just background watching for me here and there, and reading up on live timing. Can't see how anyone could watch all 24 hours of it unless you had a vested interest like team ownership.

Ah, not too bad that I missed it then. I did find streams with no commentary, they were great. I probably watched about 6 hours total and just left it on the TV until bedtime. I did also start watching IMSA when Alonso did Daytona. It is insane the speed of the repairs and maintenance on the cars. I think the porsche did front brakes on a stop in like a minute thirty as they are modular. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Looks like some penalties assessed including the Kanaan GT for nto driving for long enough.
