I am moreso interested in the dry ice blasting to clean up the underbody and then get the coating applied at the same time. So to me it seems worth it for an older car you want to keep proper.
Hey @mrsingh , did you get a chance to take some undercarriage photos? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Your photos may be the decision maker whether I make the trip down or not

Is his business officially set-up yet?
Haven't seen him in a few weeks - you can call and I think he'll be happy to discuss what services he can offer, though! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My impression is that he was catering more towards high end vehicles ($100k+) and that sublime may be a more economical choice for beaters.

The X5 i bought earlier this year really is FULLY LOADED though not a single option missing including infrared night driving
I had a chat with him in May. He's involved with the cleaning aspect of the cars with the dry ice blasting, but no options for rust protection. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
@Disoblige I have not, suspension work has been put on the backburner for this year, I will ask a couple friends with lifts if they have some time to put my car up so I can take a look. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Hey no worries. Just figured I'd ask! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yep, I had my car done back at the end of May, fairly happy with the results... he went over and above to make sure I was happy given the amount of work that needed to be done. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

And did you do protection on it elsewhere after the cleaning?
It was a 2001 Integra Type R.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
No protection, the car doesnt get driven in the winter or sees rain. I wanted the bottom clean (previous owner put krown on the bottom which was a complete mess).
Can you expand on this comment? I've ordered a vehicle that will be landing in several months and have been looking at oil based rust proofing/undercoating options and was leaning towards Krown in Calgary (the vehicle is not lowered so should clear their hoist), as the best option over the others. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Krown does make a mess, but should provide decent protection for the 1-2 years it lasts.
Same story for all the waxy/oily coatings.
The seams and places it doesn't wash away will have residue on them for a long time.
Great for protection, bad for a show car.

^^^ Exactly. Krown is great at keeping rust away but basically you have this black tar oily mess on the bottom of your car. For a car that will be winter driven i'd 100% reccomend some sort of waxy/oily coating... in my case the car is a show car so I just wanted it gone.
I have some before and after below... I still need to bring it back for another round after I remove some of the Krown by hand. It wasnt worth it to dry ice it off since the dry ice would just blow it to another area of the car:

After

I'm a big proponent of the black oily mess.

I got my 4Runner dry ice sprayed at Sublime, just have to go pick it up in Edmonton this week.
Man, such a pain in the butt to coordinate rides even if it's just a few hours away.
i did the same thing a couple weeks ago. dropped it off on tuesday came back to calgary and went back on friday to get the car.
Nice - buddy is absolutely killing it!This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

We should do a Beyond shuttle service so people can get rides back and forth as they drop their car off and pick it up
Few crappy after shots. Excited to see how it fairs after a winter season! No before photos; the rust wasn't too bad for an 09 but it definitely had some surface rust so it was nice to clean it all up and preserve it.
