we'll just sweep the major awards. Seems reasonable.

Treliving for GM of the year if it weren't for that Neal contract lol
If there was an award for most improved player, might as well give it to Chucky hehe

hes more like a come back player of the year. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Which proves how dominating GIO is as a D partner. Doggie is shitty the bed in Carolina now and Brodie went from -3x to + 2X
Fair enough...comeback player of the year. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
For Most Improved, I would nominate either Lindholm or Rittich.
Flames send a First to Ottawa for Duchene
If this were to actually happen what do you think?
_____ASP______
current ski quiver:
park, all mtn 181 ON3P Kartel 98
park,all mtn: 181 Armada AR7
big mtn, pow: 185 Armada JJ
I'd think whoever came up with that has no clue what they're doing.
First off, for Ottawa to give up Duchene for just a first is seriously undervaluing him. I can't imagine any GM who would do that would still have a job the next day.
Secondly, we don't have the cap room for him, he doesn't address anything we need, nor does he fit anywhere in the lineup.
Do you think VGK will want Neal back? lol

He is a UFA at the end of the year, so he would just be a rental that can provide scoring for a deep playoff run. I do not think it makes sense for the Flames, but it would not be unreasonable for Ottawa to look to move him closer to the deadline rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the year. Plus, OTT doesn't have a first in the upcoming draft after being fleeced by COL in the initial Duchene trade. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Do not want Duchene under any circumstance.
Flames will pickup another depth d-man but I bet that's it.
They don't need to go all in this season as their window will stay open for the next couple season, all the major pieces are locked in except Chucky.
This. Duchene is a locker room nightmare, and as soon as things go even remotely south, hes asking for a trade. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Not really a fan of Flames trade deadline deals when they're buyers. Often give up too much for rentals. A big fan of Flames selling at the TDL though. Treliving has done well as a seller, but this isn't the year to sell.
Having said that, Brayden Schenn is on the trade block and is a very enticing option to have on your 2nd/3rd line. They're gonna need the depth because it's going to be hard for the 1st line to continue doing all the scoring as games get tighter.
When Neal starts scoring, that will be our trade deadline addition.

Would it be totally insane to play Brodie as a forward?
It's worked for Burns and Bufufligen.
