Maybe a lesson comes from this? Casual lazy plays lost us this. And TJ Brodie.
at least smith has been playing well. Very impressive so far.

That lot 3 party looked rockin'. Any beyonders get out to that or anything else downtown? Elite brewing was so packed I couldn't get it. Ended up at the cat and fiddle.

Drove through downtown, it was very quiet and Olympic Plaza was deserted.
Will fuck off, again.

- Brodie is dumb.
- MacKinnon is scary good. Flames have no answer for him.
- Johnny playing like he’s afraid to get touched out there. Lame.
- Thankfully Smith is playing god like.
Bunch of players need to step it up!
Bennett was quite good. Tkachuk has to be better. MacKinnon is dangerous with his great skating and isn't afraid to shoot. Pretty impressed with Rasmus. Team did give up too many chances.
I think Olympic Plaza is only showing away games. The viewing party at the dome looked packed. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I fell asleep on the couch last night after the flames scored the second goal and thought it was a done deal. Woke up and checked the score and we lost! The Avs definitely came out with something to prove today. They were way more physical than game one and came out with a vengence, that Derrick Brassard is a real PITA.
TJ Brodie made some bush league level mistakes and after absolutely killing it in game 1 Johnny ham & cheese was afraid of being touched to he stayed far far away from anyone. Both him and Chucky really lolly gagged on the back check. I agree with BigBadBoss101 Rasmus is killing it, all of the young guns have really stepped it up. Hamonic has that shot block dialed right in and Smith is playing unreal.
I admit I never really paid much attention to the Avs because they just weren't on my radar but holy shit MacKinnon is good. That guy's skating is something else and we don't have anyone even close to his level. Our #1 priority when that man is on the ice should be to do what ever it takes to keep the puck from him. What a beast.

well, to my armchair coaching eye, I don't think they Flames were physical much last night. There was a couple good hits, but otherwise, it just felt like we were being a bunch of pussies. And I don't know what we are trying to accomplish with lining up 4 on the blue line while the 5th tries to carry the puck into the offensive zone, skating across the ice...

Watching Mackinnon dominate the game when he is on the ice reminds me of how Iggy used to do that to superior overall teams in his prime.
Ya man. Iggy game 7 in 04 vs the Nucks. Fk that was so memorable. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Hope we can contain him. Don't want to be a victim to his party.

Colorado celebrating last night like they won the series.. smh
Sig nuked by mod.
The Flames better realize the opportunity they have in front of them. With Tampa out of the way, if they just stick to their A game and what they did in the regular season, its for the taking.

I think a lot of people under rate Mackinnon. He is arguably as fast as McDavid and has the smarts of Crosby. Super dangerous player.
I would move Anderson to play with Gio, Brodie was not good the other night. First line needs to step up too.

Brodie stopped caring after he got his 5yr/~23M contract. Happens to lots of players - they put in the effort in their contract year to lock in the big money and then don't really give a shit after that because they can retire in a few years if they want with more money than most people see in a lifetime. All the financial pressure is gone. Other notables are James Neal, Louis Eriksson, Lucic, etc. There are some huge cap leeches out there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I'm surprised how many guys in here or even out Saturday are caught off guard by Mackinnon. That Cole Harbour water breeds generation talents
But yah most have him top 10 in the NHL, he's borderline top 5. Easily the best player on the ice in this series (no knock on Gio, he is just that good)
The way you approach the Avs needs to be similar as Oilers. Shut down the freak.
Flames had another sluggish 1st, but at the end of the game a huge lapse by Brodie and then a flukey triple skate deflection landing on the open man in front of the net to tie sunk the ship
