Except Ottawa has cap space. Oilers have no cap space, expiring contracts that can be used for rentals, or contracts with any significant value that can be used in a trade. I mean a bunch of us saw the cap problems happening years ago when McDavids RFA contract went live, just didn’t expect them to be in much worse shape that they’re in today.

Yeah the only thing that didn't happen that we predicted was Talbot shitting the bed during his contract year before they threw ridiculous money at him. If only he could have held on an extra year hahaha

Another one we didn’t predict was the Eberle trade. The idea was that nobody would take his contract and Edmonton would have to fill holes with league minimum salaries that brought zero to the table. Instead, they literally got nothing in return, and used that cap space on more expensive salaries that brought zero to the table. Even funnier haha.

I don't understand why you would buy season tickets knowing you can't attend the majority, I mean it's not like it's a business that's sending clients or anything (that obviously makes sense).
