That’s actually one good thing with the Flames being out. So hard to force yourself to stay inside and watch hockey when it’s finally enjoyable to be outside!

Not totally irrelevant, what happened this year was a first with both 1 seeds going down. That being said, the fact that any team can win any series just makes the NHL playoffs that much more exciting. The best trophy and most exciting way of getting there.

If anything it makes the regular season that much more enjoyable to watch. If your team can find a way to sneak in, anything can happen (Avs/Jackets this year). Sure, winning the presidents trophy doesn't really mean anything, but who cares. Having 16 teams with a chance is the most important thing. If you are a Clippers fan, you are stoked that you didn't get swept by the Warriors and that is it. Boring. Who cares if they even made the playoffs. Who cares about their regular season.
