That'd be a good matchup, those things make nearly 400whp on cam only.

EFI source is having a valentines day sale, 10% off. Could get a goldbox and harness if you want to go the megasquirt route. Could also do double microsquirt, one for ecu one for tcu.

Interesting. I already have HP Tuners and licences, any reason to not use the factory ECU? It seems pretty robust having tinkered a bit with it.

Seeet project dude. Been begging my grandpa to sell me his 84 bronco for the last 15 years. I think he’s about to budge...

Fullsize broncos are awesome. I'm actually picking up a 4x4Yukon tomorrow for a friend, he's going to frame swap a 63 Chev pickup onto it. A bronco with a modern frame under it would be pretty cool

Found this on Facebook marketplace. A german couple on break from university are traveling across North America for almost two years. They found out the hard way that their rusty Quebec van they purchased when they first arrived had no chance of passing an OPI. $1200 later, and I have a complete swap for a LQ4 and 4L80E transmission into the Blahzer.

Going to be pushing to get into x275 this year. With the LQ4, 1400hp is possible bone stock with the ring gap widened up on the factory pistons. So that's what I am going to do. Since space is limited, I wouldn't be surprised to have the turbo inlets sticking out of the hood.

Love the old school SUV's! I picked up a showroom condition square body Suburban a few months back. Absolutely can't wait till winter passes to start driving it. These square Blazers are getting so hard to find in ANY condition, spotted a mint one in Kelowna a few months back for sale on a lot......for $9995!

    This is awesome!

This makes me wonder who ended up with my 1 of 1 Stampede Edition 1991 Chev Jimmy, and what did they do to it? I really hope it ended up in the hands of a purist and is sitting in a garage somewhere dropped and supercharged. It was a beauty, 5spd cherry red with cherry red painted mags to match (this was stock as it was won by my grandparents in a draw at the stampede along with a boat that it could hardly pull).

I always wanted to do something like this with it, never got the chance.

What an awesome build, threads like these are so dangerous for me to be looking at...

Another day of shopping, Ebay had 15% off any "Ebay Store" purchased items up to $100usd off if bought through their app (so buy $650usd worth of goods, get $100usd off). Had everything shipped to the border for free shipping as I also bought a whack of AFCO rotor blanks to replace a whole bunch of customers AP Racing rotors with and for the rally car.

Got a quote from a S10 specialist in the states, $850usd for a wiring harness swap that will keep all the factory controls/dash/gauges working. Really not too bad all things considered, I'd prefer to not hack shit to bits wiring everything myself.

Why so big on the primaries? Are you going to street drive it a lot?

"BIG POWER" (in quotes because thats what everyone says). Been seeing a lot of shops/people recommend 1 3/4 after 1100hp. If hotrod can make 1400hp on a stock longblock, I'll be damned if I'm not going to try for it as well

I doubt it will see much street driving. I don't do any inner city driving anyways, all highway. Then 1/8 mile shenanigans. The whole point of this is to have something stupid.

    Edit-
Actually, I'm going to see if I did the order wrong. I meant 1 3/4 but it looks like I grabbed the wrong part # and got the 1 7/8. Crap!

Bit of a change from your first post...I wasn’t sure if you still wanted a cruiser with the change in combo!

Did Hotrod make 1400 whp or engine?

    Mission creep :p

    https://www.hotrod.com/articles/amaz...543-hp-turbos/

Now its a LY6 longblock in the article, but if I'm pulling pistons to regap rings, I'll put some dirtcheap forged rods in that come with ARP rod bolts once I get to that point. I hate spending money twice on things, if the goal is to make st00pid power (which it now is), I'm just buying each piece.

We'll see. It'll be fun, as long as it spools eventually

Fuckk, i went from doing brakes and suspension this year on my Camaro, to there being a semi-built 6.0, turbo and supporting parts gathering in my garage over the past 2 weeks

Can you hurry your build up so i can take some pointers? haha i luckily have some knowledgeable friends around me but it's nice to see other peoples builds as well.

    Good choice..it’ll be fun!

Currently building a 1987 Regal with a turbo 5.3/TH400 for a buddy...it should be a fun streetcar too. They just want to stay pump gas so it won’t be too crazy. They just want to be able to get in and drive.

Probably don't want any pointers from me, I do kludge work, but I kludge it right. The Blahzer will be perfectly functional (even AC I'm hoping!) but it won't be very pretty from anything besides 20 feet.
