    Default “Spirited” Driving Roads

There was a discussion about driving the 1A in a “spirited” manner in another thread. What are some of your favourite roads for enjoying your car?

I try to get out at least once a year for a big loop.
    - 1A to 1X (Seebe Dam)
    - East back on 1 to highway 40 south
    - 40 to 541 (Longview)
    -22 North to 762 (Millarville)
    - through Bragg Creek and back to Calgary

There are a few other twisty roads along this route that you can detour to as well.
    I like neat cars.

I’m still waiting for the day 68 is fully paved. 40 to Longview is pretty amazing too especially the scenery at the start, but the speeds are way to high for my liking.

Take a very long weekend and enjoy the 2 lane goodness that is north of Kamloops and also up in the 100 Mike House area.

Hwy 532 between 22 and 40 is amazing, but gravel.

HWY 24 from 70 mile to Little Fort in BC is a good drive.

I always loved the Mt. Norquay road early in the morning. Lots of twists and turns and it sorta forces you to slow down on the corners.

thinking back to my motorcycling days, there were a few roads that were some favorites of mine.

highway 66 out by bragg creek was always fun.
the road going into peter lougheed provincial park off of highway 40 was awesome.
the 1a between highway 1 and lake louise.

That’s a great road but most times i’ve been on it there is too much traffic.

Plummers road is a great road from 22 to 762 although there are quite a few houses close by.

Gleneagles dr in Cochrane is another nice one.

Anybody have any decent roads closer to or in Calgary?

Big fan of this one - gotta watch out for the cyclists though.

The road to Panorama Resort is nice and twisty if you don't get any traffic. Grey Wolf is a good course to hit up to add to the drive.

There are so many paved 2 lane gems in the 100 Mile House area - they really are blessed with a great variety of amazing driving roads

Bragg Creek to 762 south, turn east at Plumbers Road all the way to highway 22. Brand new twisty pavement, you can thank me with beer.

That's a great one, although, my parents live in West Kelowna and the last time they were here, they said that there were a lot of trucks on that road now. I'll have to check that out when I head out there next month.

A couple years back I got lucky. Was out on the road on a Thursday morning and only encountered 3 cars the entire way. I should have bought a lottery ticket that day.
