Took the weekend off last week to just chill. This week I came in today and cranked out a quick intercooler setup.

Took everything off this weekend and did headgaskets and ARP bolts, also intake and valve cover gaskets. I'm 155lbs and I gotta say, iron heads suck dick.
Also did injectors while I had the intake off and de-bullshitted some vacuum lines and PCV stuff. Added a nipple on the LH valve cover for additional crankcase ventilation.
Got the whole mess back together.
Yanked the tank and managed to fit the M5 pump into the tiny foxbody tank.
Trimmed up the bumper and put it back on.
Couldn't resist taking it for its first boost drive. Just blew away the crappy winter tires haha
I remember when I had friends with 2.3 turbo fords going on about how much better their Motor was than the turbo dodge 2.2/2.5, then I saw one of them pulling the head at a junk yard. Fuuuuuck iron heads.

Lil update. Added my homemade catchcan, added coolant reservoir. Wired my fan, wired my old nitrous button to be launch control.
Been driving it all weekend and today and tuning it and turning the boost up a bit. Now at 8psi and feels pretty damn fast. Ran into a C63 AMG on the way home today and ran him 3 times, pulled a fender on him each time.
Swapped to summers, looks a little more muscly with the fenders filled out.
Built a battery tiedown so I can actually race this thing. Made a new ground cable and spraybombed all the shitty rust in that corner by the battery.
Engine bay is looking semi tidy for a slapped-together build.
Have it street tuned to 13-14psi and man it hauls ass. Little more tuning and I'll toss it on the dyno and see what it makes. Then take it to the track.
probably a dumb question, but what’s your DP made of? Stainless? Where do you buy fittings for something like that?
Pumped to see where this thing ends up on the dyno haha, fun build to follow.
Stainless yeah. Mopac has good affordable Vbands and O2 bungs. Tube and mandrel bends are from Goulds stainless. The unpolished bends are only like 12 bucks a piece. I love building with Goulds bends.
Does the front Ford emblem say Fuck? Hahahaha

Bought my self a welder gunna try and learn how to make it useful this summer on my current project haha..
Welding the exhaust is the easy part...nice fit and routing takes more effort. Especially if space is tight. Was a pita to fit a 5” DP on the car where a 4” was no problem before. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Nice info on the Goulds! Too bad they jump from 4” to 6” on the website. I requested the catalog but do they have a variety of bends? I’m getting tired of the big exhaust without a muffler dumped in front of the passenger tire so I was going to build something to the back. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Yeah they have a bunch of stuff, both unpolished and polished. Their polished stuff is food grade sanitary, it's what real welders (aka not me) build breweries and shit out of lol. Makes for pretty exhausts.
Do you guys Mig or Tig the exhaust? Sorry for the hijack
I tig everything. I bought my TIG 5 years ago and took the SAIT TIG night course, have gotten pretty damn good over the years. The sooner you start the sooner you'll get good.
EDIT: Here was a downpipe I was in the middle of building for a subaru about a month ago

I'd put a Ford 'Mandella Effect' logo on it, just to fuck with people. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yeah I put that sticker on about 2 months ago. It's a Fucksbody.
Strapped it to the dyno today, it made 350whp 420ftlbs at 13psi with my conservative street tune. Gain of 160whp 160ftlbs over stock.
If the bench racer math works out, it should trap between 110-115mph in the quarter
