Default AC Condensor Fan Issues? Car Related

The AC condensor fan in my son's car turns on when the AC is on and stays on, but turns off when you turn off the AC. I know it's supposed to turn on when AC is on, but it isn't supposed to stay on from my understanding, and when testing this on my other vehicles, it doesn't act the way it does on my son's car.

Would this be one of the following issues:

    - fan relays (there are 3 under the hood)
    - low or high pressure switch? I assume it's the high pressure switch, if the system was low on coolant, I would imagine the low pressure switch would keep the ac from turning on due to low pressure?
    - The AC needs charging as the coolant is low on charge? The AC does blow pretty dang cold though.

    Car is a 2008 Lexus IS250 AWD.

    Any advice/opinions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Wait, are you expecting the fan to stay on for the rest of the drive cycle even if you just turn on the ac for a second?

I also confuse. What behavior are you expecting?

Different manufacturers have different fan settings, some based on exteriors temps etc.

3 fan relays. 3 fans. 2 for rad. 1 for A/C. Turn off the A/C and the A/C fan turns off.
    I don't see an issue.

Sorry to clarify, the condenser fan starts and spins like mad when i turn on the AC, and it doesn't shut off until i turn off the AC. The good news is the fan turns on, however, in all my other cars, the condenser fan doesn't turn on when the AC is on unless it needs to - for cooling as reqquired. I understand it will turn on when the AC is running, but i am pretty sure it's not supposed to stay on and run at full power until the AC is turned off. Does that make sense?

Is the fan supposed to stay on and run at full power though the whole time AC is on? It doesn't do that for all my other cars, only this one, and I had a similar car years ago and it didn't do this either. Maybe the fan does stay on and runs in slower mode, but for my son's car it's mad fast.

Hmmm I still thought that was normal. Is it just a lot louder? Damaged blade or something maybe? Are the condenser fins all bent up and restricting airflow? Dirt built up between the condenser and rad?

From what I read is that there is a low speed and high speed setting when the fan flows, mine seems to always blow at high speed and is loud as fuck, but no, no broken blades or anything.

I don't know your car, but yeah most vehicles I've driven the fan cycles on and off. Sounds like a temp switch went bad, but in the closed position (which is better than failing open).

Keep in mind its hotter than usual outside, and depending on how its setup, it may be normal. i would be concerned if it did it when it was cooler, but right now no. my truck does a similar thing. fan seems to run for a long time, but its normal.

As soon as he ac switch is triggered, it turns on regardless of weather outside.
