    Default Chumpcar Castrol 2018

Anyone from Calgary coming up to race this year? My team will be out again in the worn out old red 944. It's going to be a hot weekend, but we're hoping for some nice clean racing and that the car survives 24 hours of punishment.

I drive the #47 Docspeed CRX once in a while, but have been spending too much on street cars this year to play racecar.

That's a great team. Dr. Lee is really nice and I trust racing next to you guys.

It's slow and reliable and easy to drive, also easy on tires and brake pads. Just gas it and go. Sometimes it finishes well too.

6th overall on Saturday and a 1st in class trophy since the top running car in our class hit the overall podium and we were 2nd in class. Sunday was the big day for us, we managed to get to the overall podium in third place. We were far from being the fastest car, but fuel efficiency and reliability meant we could do the maximum allowable 2 hour driver stints easily. We had zero mechanical issues all weekend. Pit stops were only for fuel/oil and dirver changes. We corded one tire on the first day so we had to swap that off quickly at a scheduled pitstop, but other than that nothing. It's such a nicely setup car for this type of event, super easy to drive for long distances. We haven't changed the brake pads in three years, which includes 3 of these races and about 15 lapping days with the car running all day with three or four drivers! The 944 is an endurance racing machine!
