Default How to stop a garage man door into kitchen from slamming so hard

I can't be the only one who gets pissed about someone slamming the garage door all the time. It's one of those new up to code heavy doors that slams shut real loud if you don't hold it... and my wife and her mother love not giving a shit and it gives me a massive headache. Other than changing the door is there any other way to slow it down so it doesn't slam if you don't hold it?

Never mind, took a look and there are adjustable hinges

It should have spring loaded hinges. I replaced mine this year on our new to us house and when installing them you could adjust how much tension (closing force) they had.

Ya realized after posting haha I imagine I can adjust them myself, I'm going to blow a head gasket if I find it's already on the loosest setting though,
I'l have to buy regular hinges ...I FUCKing hate people who don't hold the door when closing, I grew up in a very quiet household.

Depending on the weight of the door you can change how many spring loaded hinges you have. My door has 2 spring loaded and one regular and worked perfectly with both springs fully tensioned. There should be a pin you can remove and retention.
