    Anyone seen this on Netflix? It claims there are $1T worth of fake Chinese companies on NYSE and NASDAQ thru reverse takeovers.

    Trump tariff seems to have started a chain reaction on these fake companies folding in China, how long before we feel it here?

    I think it just said today the market cap of Chinese companies trading in the USA is $1T, not that all of it is fake.

    The film alluded to Alibaba being a fraud (market cap 450B+), but they didn't scam their way onto NYSE, they went the IPO route.

    Yeah they start a shell company. Pump it, double it from $0.01 to $0.10 and sell for millions more. Not a secret that it's been going on for ever. Not just China.

    They take the fraud to the next level. They straight up lie on the balance, overstate operational assets and income by 10x, etc.
    When they find out investors are coming they will bring in a lot more workers and equipment for a day, make a big show out of it, and then poof. Gone.
    It's actually some really impressive scam tactics.
    Kudos to the investigative journalist who stuck his neck out. Takes big balls.

    Well… Does anyone really care? I mean if it feels like tits and looks like tits, do you really care if they are fake?

    America certainly does not - the land of fake tits is celebrated. Is it fraudulent for a woman to have fake tits? Throw them fake titties in jail?
