Well, got my renewal notice today for the next year, and yup, you guessed it, ANOTHER increase, no claims, perfect record, -15 rating for both @baygirl and I.

up roughly another 10%. Not as bad as last time, but, I feel like I am getting gouged now.

We got our yearly home insurance renewals and it went from 2700 to 3200 - no claims or changes. Definately going to be shopping around.

What are the details of your home insurance policy for a $2700 premium? TD started offering water and sewage coverage some months ago and we intend to add that on to our coverage at renewal for a slight increase (~$300). One of the quotes I got was around $1100 for the upcoming year.

Still waiting on an auto policy quote but Intact wanted to increase my 2013 G37xS by 30% this year

Figured seeing as my annual renewal came up... $40 increase for me which is about a 43% increase from last year.

Going to be talking to my broker and see what they can do.. or I'll be looking around.

Straw may have broken the camels back here after 10 years of defending TD on here so I am looking to shop around for some quotes.

    Touchstone still everyone’s go-to for a broker?

Looking to put 3 vehicles and 2 homes on the table so hoping I can get something reasonable.

    Cheers!

Yea fuck I just got quoted 7k for my 3 cars and the two homes + Occupancy permit when I got them to scenario me what it would look like when I insure my new place and walk the coverage on the current place down to minimal coverage.

I don’t even have speeding tickets or something fun to justify that.

I had a rough time trying to find cheaper then touchstone I did find a couple but chose to stay put for the year. I have 3 cars and a house and I’m at 5800 with zero claims or speeding. Not fun trying to get cheaper insurance, the 15% increase kicked me in the balls. Thanks Kenney

Yeah I know everyone was saying it was coming and going to happen.. but man .. a 43% increase is just insane. I'd be ok with perhaps a 10% or 15% increase.

Roughly 800-1000 per car to 1300-1400 in 2 years. Sucks, it’s weird my cheapest car is the most expensive and my newest car that I sold last year was actually my cheapest to insure. Companies say that new cars are more expensive to rebuild but it’s apparently not true. I’m hoping the increases get reviewed and brought back under control.

I've been with Ray almost 9 years now. He's pretty awesome - the insurance companies though Intact/Aviva suck to deal with/ We'll see if there is a jump when my renewal comes up. I hope not or I'll be shopping around. I'm paying $177 a month for my Focus RS then condo insurance and then tenants insurance

My $1800/y new car just dropped by $200 when I asked for the Forward Collision braking system discount.

    +1.
Mine went up very slightly. But I found the value in Bill being patient, knowledgeable and being able to answer some of my dumbass questions.
I went and got quotes elsewhere. Some were slightly cheaper at $40. But then you have to weigh the pros and cons. Can I pick up the phone and have them answer some questions etc like Bill can?
So it comes down to what you value. So that slight increase is ok for me as im getting the value I want.

Well I sent Bill a pm so let's see what we get to, I feel like there HAS to be some low hanging fruit to be found.
