But there is a currency fee on any bank you use as a brokerage too. It might be even less on Wealthsimple Trade.

I just want to know if anyone uses Wealthsimple Trade personally and can trade Canada and US stocks with no limit, and if they see any drawbacks using that vs the big Canadian brokerages?

Edit: Nvm, looks like you can only trade on your phone and there is no real time quotes (delayed 15 min). Hmm... Not sure it is worth the no-commission fee.
I have WS trade, there's no limit, but they do charge 1.5% FX fee both ways for US equities (and there's no option to have a USD account), so you're constantly paying that FX.

You can now trade on the web (it's being piloted) but there is no real time quotes. It really comes down to how often you trade and what you want. I personally use other brokerages as well because of the items mentioned above. For my other half, WS trade is more than enough because she is not doing much trading.

I haven't used it so just hearsay but I've heard WS has pretty bad execution, like they take their fee through a wider bid-ask spread type deal. I really haven't heard anything good about WS tbh
