My PE firm bought 6 store fronts there for next to nothing about 6 months in when businesses where losing their shirts. 400% return after year 2. I agree with you that in a few years this will be just fine. However the success of cross iron will cripple it for the first year as like mentioned in this thread a lot of the fronts were bought with the idea of leasing them. Once those people realize that’s not happening it will pick up.

Don't believe you can BUY any part of Crossiron... all leases.

New Horizon. Should have a massive fresh produce market/herbs like Crystal Mall first floor. Basically what Horizon is going after anyways.

haha, wow, you guys weren't kidding. I took a trip up there; total ghost town. There's about 6-8 businesses, the rest is rows and rows of vacant stalls. No food court at all. Oh well, at least Spiderman and Elsa have a nice stage to dance around on?

The underground parkade is nice and completely empty, but after one lap in my headers/straight-pipe Z06 a security guard came and chased me away

They must have changed that, I swear when I looked at it before I posted it was 12-5 week days and 12-5:30 Saturday.

I was wondering because every Wednesday I’ve been going out to Airdrie for the last month around 7 pm and outside parking was empty and it didn’t look like lights were on

Ended up stopping by on Sunday at around 3:30 and that place is sad and barren. There was maybe 5 stores there that I remember seeing from walking up and down most aisles - Bell, A cell phone case store, Korean beauty store, some misc stickers/toys store, and a kids clothing store.

The Elsa and Spiderman performance was not bad - at least they looked happy to be there. A handful of families playing and there was a magic show...

It's really too bad because the potential that this place has is super high - but the number of spots in there is just insane. It's hard to imagine that many retailers filling that place up anytime soon. You can only sell so many fake LV/Gucci bags and cheap socks and toys. I do hope it grows soon though... It's a sweet hangout spot.
