from the time Wow bakery said they were opening a location there, they went ahead and opened their location inside Chinook Mall. I am certain the Royal Oak location will also be opened before New Horizon

Unless the occupancy there changed a ton in the last year WOW would be better off opening up shop in forest lawn lol We went there last year and its so depressing there. Wife wanted to check out that big chinese store there and theres some ok things but most of it was cheap ebay type shit but at super inflated prices

We were in there a couple of weeks ago. Dude there said traffic was really picking up.

What I saw: Still very limited traffic. Still very limited storefronts.

This YouTube video appeared in my feed. It seems like investors buying all the store fronts and failing to rent them out has caused the majority of the issues. Hardly any buyers were actual business owners that wanted to open a shop.

As sad as it is, 30% is not bad if true. I wouldve guessed way less now. We went a year or 2 ago and it was mostly just the main strip with the odd shop here and there on the outer edges.

The video looks depressing as fuck and way less than 30% but looking at the mall directory it might actually be way more than 30%. Theres a ton of the closet style spaces still available but it looks like the med to large are mostly filled.
