Just waiting for a hawker center and Uniqlo and I'll be there every weekend!
They have big unit by food court that should attract some sort of Anchor. Management should offer 5 year rent free to Uniqlo to make that happen.

That's said, not sure if Uniqlo brand would want to be associated with these kind of malls.

Fuck, I'd offer 10 year free rent to Daiso or something. If they can land that, the food and everything else will come with it.

    Man the liability.
What liability? You do know you basically have zero recourse or insurance when storing stuff anywhere right?

Usually you have to pay extra for insurance for your shit.

Just left, there were a few stores. But I couldn't believe the prices compared to eBay. I get they need to pay rent but that is just not going to work then..... All those trying to make a living selling ebay stuff are not going to make it unless they're waiting it out until they can flip the store itself for $$

So. Does anyone remember when it was illegal to buy or sell goods on a Sunday in Alberta?

Lords Day Act of 1906 to 1985.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

Im sure its just a temp thing due to lack of customers and competition(at least i hope), once they fill up there has got to be some nasty competition lol

You will never beat high volume ebay sellers.

To break even with 1 staff and the smallest stall, each store got to make $6K of profit monthly. If they are selling a $10 pair of shoe for $50, that's 150 pairs.

I feel like this isn't getting the attention it deserves.
That's cause freestyle rollerblading (or whatever that is) is painfully gay.

Get a good skateboarder to film a few lines in there and it would have 100x the views.

$6k monthly is going to be an accomplishment and then some for the vendors there. Theyre projecting another year and half to fill up so how long can they bleed....

I don't think they're bleeding. Pretty sure all the owners of each spot is paying Horizon operational fees monthly.

The ads feature reduced rents and incentives like three and even six months free rent, with some rents as low as $399 per month — and still no takers.
Wong says stores that sold at Pacific Mall for $55,000 in 1993 sold for more than $480,000 in 2018.

Sorry i should've specified the people who leased them instead of actually owning them.

Just read the article and they got places going for $399 now

I love how the first line pretty much sums up the reason for failure too.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for people who invested in this place without a clear plan?
