think i will finally bite the bullet and go with Nokian, anywhere else to get them other than Kaltire or are they pretty much the monopoly in town?

They hold the monopoly for all of Canada, unfortunately.
How were these tires? Might get a set. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Anybody here ever order from Quattro Tires?
I grabbed some pre studded Maxxis NP3 for $580 mounted and balanced for my Golf.
They're great in snow, but ice traction is a bit poor. I would get them studded. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
On dry pavement they feel a bit wobbly in the corners if you go hard.
Friends have ordered from there and PMC. Prices are hard to beat but I still prefer to buy local and support my brosThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Anyone had any experience with the Pirelli W210 Sottozero Serie II? I'm looking at getting these as they are one of the few RF winter tires available.
Pretty sure that's what I had on my 911. It worked fine but I only drove the car on mild winter days.
I had those on my 335xi, they were okay and are considered performance winters. If I recall, they are recommended for AWD vehicles only as they don't have the best grip on a RWD car. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Studded hakka 9s for me for my daily and wife's car
I had them on my Saabaru, they were good but not great. I never got stuck in snow, but did slip a few times on ice. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've tried the Winguard Sport and they're alright. Lasted long especially when you hoon it. The Michelin X-Ice were great in snow and is a great option. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

@DustanS I just posted some 20" Winters in the marketplace. If you wanted to downsize a touch, you could get some 20" replica wheels and mount them. a bit skinnier than your 285s, but if they fit it would work better in the winter. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I put those tires on my CTS-V for the winter, and hated them. Moved to Blizzaks and much better. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I am running those on the x5, they get the job done. I don’t have any complaints about them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
