Such a special lap by Lewis. Lots of different teams at the top of the timing sheets leading up to Q3 throughout the practice sessions.
Should be an amazing 1st lap start tomorrow. We'll see how the safety cars come into play.

Pretty blown away by that lap. Mercedes wasn’t even supposed to do well here, and haven’t throughout the weekend. No clue how the hell Lewis pulled that lap off. Epic is an understatement.

Max's lap would have be so epic if it wasn't for Hamilton. His lap was just as impressive considering the car he's driving.
Ferrari really has shitty strategy. Fails undercut. Gets on tires that can’t finish the race. Stuck behind slower car out of pit and lose to RBR. I mean, can’t get much dumber than that.

WTF Perez haha.

This is the second time in the last few races where Ferrari only took 1 set of softs to the race, and it's fucked them over again by not testing them in FP.
The race was exciting for 30 seconds and then it was over.
Total karma for bumping into Ocon earlier. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It’s even more ridiculous than that. If you have f1 access subscription, you get extended radio messages. Hamilton mentioned there’s still life in the tires during the first stint. Ferrari misheard this as his tires were done and told Vettel Hamilton is struggling on his tires. Vettel responds that he doesn’t think so. Ferrari at that point felt it was the best opportunity for an undercut and pit Vettel on the ultra softs (they never intended to use the softs). Mercedes and RBR scratches their head, tells Hamilton and Vestappen to push, and both had enough in their tires to go hard until Vettel finally clears Perez. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. So ya, they threw away 2nd place to Max because they couldn’t understand English.
As for Perez, the Ocon crash was fucked. Replays showed him turning into Ocon deliberately. Same goes for Sirokin. Of course the penalty point system is useless and no additional penalties.

Saw this ferrari pitwall on reddit and it is accurate for the last few races at least

That was so dumb. Didn't even clear max and his car wasn't even working on pit exit. Was on softer tires but wasn't any faster and then turned the engine down and conserved tires once max got away.
Perez is nuts though, causes two collisions like that and only 3 points on his license for collision?
Hot stat was that top 6 started and finished in the same order. Was hoping that kimi could catch bottas for some action but no.
Ill say it again, it appears that Ferrari promotes people to track operations based on not so much their skills, but more of who they know. Other operations appear to be more of a meritocracy.
Their car is very good this year, but there is a disconnect at track-level it seems. Too many stupid fuck-ups like this.
What’s funny is at Australian GP, Ferrari outsmarted Mercedes and was a bit mind blown. They never were able to repeat that. To be fair though, I’ll bet Vettel has lost more points from stupid driving than Ferrari with strategy blunders.
