Default Looking for a Mechanic to install Rack and Pinion

Recently I have had an inspection done from Infiniti and they stated the car needs a new steering rack and are asking for nearly 2000 dollars for the job.

I have ended up finding a rack and pinion on rockauto for about 500-600 CAD with warranty by A1 Cardone. My car is an 08 G35x Sport with 119,000 kms.
The car does wander on uneven roads and the steering pulls to where ever the dip in the road may be. I know the alignment is definitely out also but so far no leaks have been noticed or change in the power steering fluid reservoir. Steering is slightly on the heavier end than it should be.

I have been in search for a competent mechanic in the Calgary Area that can do the job for me as I do not possess the necessary tools nor the expertise.

If anyone on the forums can direct me in to the right direction your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

Depends where you are located. Ravi's place on 32nd (minute muffler) has done great work over the years on my various cars mechanically. Not sure if he is still doing everything but is beyond approved.

Usually just inner and outer tie rods and ball joints with alignment after fixes all this.
Typically you don't need a new rack and pinion unless it is leaking fluid from my experience.

For future reference, typically a shop can get this part for you cheaper with an install and that goes for other parts too. This is probably why you're having trouble finding a shop. They don't want to attempt an install on a part that is supplied vs. what they would get for you.
